“A home where less is more, without losing sight of the contemporary personality and lifestyle of its inhabitants and with a few elements of distinctly Portuguese tradition”: that was the brief behind this villa in a private gated community on the coast of Greater Lisbon, created for a young family who were settling in. Portuguese azulejos, terrazzo and travertine marble form the project’s signature trio of materials, while subtle architectural adjustments were introduced to strengthen the dialogue between indoors and outdoors, allowing light, texture and comfort to flow naturally throughout the villa. From the first layout studies to the final embroidery on the fabrics, every detail of this villa was designed to embody balance, dynamism, connection and an effortless sense of lightness.
